Nobel Peace Prize Laureate 2009, US President Barack Obama, receives the Nobel Peace Prize Diploma made by Per Fronth
at ceremony in Oslo Rådhus Dec 10th 2009:
Having been selected the honour of being a Nobel Artist Per Fronth is the first contemporary artist using photography as a main component in the Diploma.
The motif is drawn from Fronth series Archipelago - and depicts the opening of the Olav-sundet. The sound in Ny-Hellesund made famous in tales of the King Olaf Haraldsson II - later sanctified by the Catholic church as St. Olaf after his death on the battlefield at Stiklestad, Norway, July 29th 1030.
